CONTACT US16 years for facials with parental consent. Resurfacers and peels can be performed from 18 years old.
6 resurfacers in a course, and 3 Peels in a course. After a course of either resurfacers or peels there needs to be a minimum of 3 months break before another course can be performed. OR after a course, can maintain the result with a monthly resurfacer.
Some of the resurfacers can be performed before some treatments such as microdermabrasion, microneedling or non surgical face lift. Please see DQ protocols. Otherwise you can alternate treatments. Please see Cocktails in the back of Chemical peels and Mixology workbooks
Please refer to the “Frosting” information in the workbooks, Core Day 2 and Chemical peels.
A mild erythema may be seen for a few hours, possibly to the next few days after treatment depending on the treatment performed and the strength/depth it goes into the skin.
Resurfacers is only 1-2 days downtime. Chemical peels can be 7-10 days of downtime.
Yes, the back and chest can be treated, but we recommend only treating an A4 paper size area at one time, and one pass of Chemical peel only.
Follow the adverse reaction protocol.
There may be an epidermal slide if the resurfacer is not thoroughly neutralised. Chemical peels self neutralise in 5 minutes.
Test patches need to be performed 48 hours before the first treatment, and whenever the treatment product is changed. If there has been a 6 month break from treatments, then a test patch should be performed again before treatments recommence.
Please refer to your protocols. The treatments in the brown bottles with pipettes are applied with a small soft gauze. The treatments in the white bottles are applied with a fan brush.
Yes. The SPF will protect from blue light and environment as well as UVA. As DQ SPF’s are physical they contain zinc oxide which is also healing, this will help to calm the skin after a treatment.
No, the treatments can be scheduled so that time off is not necessary.
Please consider if the client followed their aftercare correctly, e.g if they washed their skin too soon after treatment or applied moisturiser in the first few days this will affect the peeling of the skin. Therapists need to consider if the correct prepping solution was used in the treatment?
